Manzanillo – Discover Hidden Treasures

Discover the treasures of Manzanillo that often go unnoticed by visitors.

First, we drive towards Manzanillo on a scenic country road admiring the views of the Sierra Madre mountains.

We then drive up a small dirt and rock paved road, overviewing the MANZANILLO BAYS and PLAYA LA BOQUITA.

NOW, THE HEALTHY WALK TO CASA ABANDONADA: This 25 minutes easy walk, leads to the Casa Abandonada , with an upper deck offering a BREATHTAKING VIEW of MANZANILLO BAYS and SIERRA MADRE MOUNTAINS.

Driving back down to PLAYA LA BOQUITA that showcase a nice residential area as well as a beautiful beach with many resto bars. We break there for lunch.

Then let’s visit the famous PLAYA AUDIENCA in a small bay. For your info, large boat tours are offered regularly with music, snorkeling and drinks.

Traveling now up the hill to a kind of “Greek Style” village on the mountainside, observing the magnificent architecture of the white houses, hotels and marina, as well as the views of the 2 large bays of Manzanillo.

Direction CENTRO MANZANILLO, passing by the large beaches, the impressive hotels, the port and the big boats, and then the 1.5 km long MALECON, which we can discover by walking.

At CENTRO, via MALECON, it’s impressive to be able to see the beach side as well as the local fishermen, the huge cargo ships in the port, the huge cruise liners as well as the lively CENTRO with its restaurants, shops and various events!

We can take the time for a cerveza in the CENTRO, and then return back to Melaque / Barra.
