Puerto Vallarta – Paso Ancho Horseback Riding

Reuben: Riding horses up the river was one of the highlights of our time in Vallarta. Juan was incredibly caring and gentle with our 2 kids (6 & 11) and went above and beyond to ensure that we all had a good experience.

Seeing the neighborhood and natural beauty of the river on horseback gave me a new appreciation for this region I’ve visited many times. At the end of the ride, I saw a great blue heron for the first time!

Linda: My husband and I went horseback riding mid February. Having been to Puerto Vallarta multiple times and never been horseback riding we really wanted something that reflected the culture and not just a ride where everyone rode in a line.

This ride was just that! We started at the river and meandered across it several times and rode on the trail running next to it and then up the hill and back thru the village.

There were times when Juan was behind us and we were leading! On the way back everyone in the village said hello to Juan because he grew up there and knew everyone! He even arranged a pick up for us and ride home which we were very grateful for. (And although it seemed like we would have liked to ride longer the 2 1/2 hours did leave us sore for a couple days.) But We will tell everyone visiting PV to experience this!
